Historical Impact 2008–2019
Between 2008 and 2019, Nebbi District NGO Forum built a strong track record in civic accountability, public service monitoring, education resource monitoring, policy advocacy, and civil society strengthening.
During this period, NDNGOF supported community sensitization, training of community monitors, civil society coordination, district-level advocacy, school governance, education monitoring, and local government engagement.
2008–2009: Community Sensitization and Service Delivery Monitoring
NDNGOF supported community sensitization on governance and service delivery, monitoring of public services, strengthening of community-based organizations, and advocacy meetings with local government leaders.
This contributed to increased citizen awareness of rights and entitlements, improved community engagement in local governance, and early strengthening of civil society voice in Nebbi.
2012–2014: Policy Advocacy and Civil Society Coordination
NDNGOF expanded policy advocacy, civic education, community dialogues, monitoring of government programs, and capacity building for member organizations.
This strengthened citizen participation, improved local NGO capacity, increased responsiveness of local government, and influenced district planning and budgeting processes.
2019: NGO Network Coordination and Institutional Strengthening
NDNGOF continued strengthening NGO network coordination, governance advocacy, financial management, proposal writing, and engagement in district development planning.
This helped create more professional and capable civil society organizations, strengthened policy influence, and improved CSO participation in development processes.
IDF
The Independent Development Fund supported community empowerment initiatives, grassroots advocacy, and capacity building for local organizations.
ERM
The Education Resource Monitoring initiative supported monitoring of education resources, community tracking of education service delivery, training of school management committees, and engagement with district education officials.
SPAN
The Support Programme for Advocacy Network strengthened advocacy capacity, policy engagement, civil society networking, coordination, and rights-based approaches.
DNSP-DANIDA
DNSP-DANIDA supported civil society capacity development, advocacy, and district-level engagement.
